Hello everyone,
I'm having a huge problem with a bracket (on the right side, as viewed from the front) attached to the cylinder head.
The bracket's purpose is to secure the intercooler pipe and the engine cover.
The problem is that this part doesn't appear correctly in the Audi/VW electronic parts catalog (the part listed doesn't match the actual part). If anyone has an ARL engine in their car and could email me the part numbers listed on that bracket, it would be a great help.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Patrick.

3 questions:
- Which part didn't fit?
- Why do you need that again?
- How do you know it doesn't fit?
These parts are so rarely manufactured that they are often replaced with newer versions, which typically have one or two more arms.
The left bracket for the AFN G3 has been replaced by one from the G4, so it no longer fits. You need to bend or cut off the extra arms (which are only needed for the G4) (I cut them off).
Here are the bending diagrams:

If you've already had this part in your hands, you're probably in a better position to judge what might need to be changed.

Hello Dieselmartin,
1. According to the ET catalog, I had ordered the following part, which should also fit .
ET-No.: 7M0 103 945 B
2. I am converting my ASZ pump-injector engine, and I need this part for mounting the intercooler pipe .
3. I ordered the part that was supposed to fit the ARL, but it didn't fit at all .
Best regards,
Patrick.

The number is correct so far.
The ARL (presumably a type of vehicle) only has the left side panel different from the others.
Sorry, but those are exactly the parts, as described above, that never quite fit properly.

Hello Dieselmartin,
Both mounting brackets are different from the standard Pume injector motor. In the picture, you can clearly see the right-hand mounting bracket from the 150 HP ARL engine.

Here's a picture of a typical common-rail diesel engine.

My statement referred to the parts catalog.
But as you can see from the 7M0..., this is no longer a G4 part, but rather a part from a Touran.
And there is no ARL.
However, I also noticed this rail in the drawing, which is where the screw for the LD cable is attached.
If necessary, I could weld something for you.

You will need number 31.
But that one doesn't have a number .
