Replace coolant hose (AFN)

AFN in Golf III, year 1997.

From the coolant balance tank, 2 hoses exit -
The first one sits deep (below water level) and disappears towards the back/down.
The second one starts significantly above water level and features (clearly visible from the front)
between the radiator tubes, into the cooling circuit.
This last hose has a deep scratch (caused by a weasel or
Scratch damage from the protective plastic film). Can I do it without any problems?
switch or does a lot of water and air come up
(Coolant ventilation, etc.)?

I actually had this second-mentioned hose in my workshop today for...
Order placed - however, fate had it that now the aforementioned
First hose is new (invoice for 98 EUR, including venting, pressure check, etc.).
Although I received my money back, the master said, during the replacement appointment for
the other hose, he will mistakenly install (selling price approx. 10 EUR)
replace my (intact) old one - strange feeling, when then under
(defective) assembled, to be disposed of parts, my old, still intact ones
to be extracted and installed
I definitely don't dare to go there anymore...
