Greetings to all the mechanics!

I'm unfortunately very busy at the moment.

Update:

The car was on the dynamometer last week, and no errors could be found in its standard configuration. The engine produces 96 kW, and the torque and power curve are normal.

"So, we installed a tuning software and simulated several extreme situations on the test bench, even pushing it into limp mode. The supposed cause is a problem with the turbocharger pressure regulation system, which was unable to reduce the boost pressure and caused overboost conditions that ultimately led to the limp mode." - according to the tuner.

The engine map has been adjusted, and now it works. "However, with less power."

I haven't had time yet to log data with VCDS or perform a dyno test and scan the results.
I'm catching up! / I'll catch up!

Current performance: 155 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, according to the dynamometer, and it runs well.

Fuel consumption has decreased by approximately 0.5 liters.

Visible only under load conditions.

Tuning specifications: 165 horsepower, 370 Nm of torque (+/- 5%).

Statement from the mechanic: approximately 170 horsepower and around 400 Nm of torque, 'based on their experience with ASZ engines.'
Just say what you were told. icon_evil.gif

Test drives with the 2.RS were conducted at altitudes ranging from approximately 700 meters to a minimum of 1100 meters, with a maximum load of 1100 kg. As mentioned, it over-revved in 3rd gear. Otherwise, with an engine temperature of around 90 degrees Celsius and an outside temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius, 'all fluids are original.' A mechanic from a Skoda workshop drove the car and reported 'minimum 1.5 bar - 1.6 bar oil pressure, everything without any smoke.'

I will do the LOG right away.

Hello, it's good that everything is working now, but it's a shame that the tuner remains within its specified range and even falls significantly below the mechanic's estimates.
'Only' 25 horsepower more is, frankly, not really a significant achievement.

I'm curious to see how much boost pressure remains.
Then it would also be nice to see how much power the other RS has. Maybe it's running with a real 25 extra horsepower instead of the promised 165. Only the driver knows icon_rolleyes.gif.

Well, at least there are no more errors now.

Best regards,

So, I installed tuning software and simulated several extreme situations on the test bench, even up to the point of triggering the limp-home mode. The supposed cause is a problem with the turbocharger pressure regulation system, which was unable to reduce the boost pressure and created overboost conditions that resulted in the limp-home mode." according to the tuner.

Well, the "boost pressure control system" consists of both hardware and software.
Both must function correctly.
If the hardware works seamlessly with the standard software but not with the tuning software, suspicion immediately falls on a poorly designed tuning file.
Either the excessive exhaust flow (due to too high volumes) can overpower the turbine, but there are also other ways for beginners to introduce errors and create problems with the software.

If this is the normalized power output (adjusted to sea level), and the emergency mode kicks in above that, it doesn't exactly speak well of the software quality, as mentioned before... I'm looking forward to seeing the new logs.
