Regarding oil analysis: Do you mean the statement that LL oil has better lubricating properties than non-LL oil (505.01) after 50,000 miles, compared to 15,000 miles? I would attribute this fact more (but not only) to the fact that the 505.01 oil (which also has significant quality differences) is an HC oil, while the LL oil is fully synthetic.
It would be interesting to see how Mobil 1 0W-40 looks after these mileage figures in the PD. But, unfortunately, no one here has probably tried this yet
