Okay, so let's take it slow. What problem are you having with this vehicle?

So, regarding the update, you definitely have the latest version. It was available to dealers starting in week 26 of June, and it was introduced into production in week 22 of June. This is the current update, and there is no other version, so you can rule that out.
The BXE engine incorporates various improvements that address the issues found in the older BKC engine. The BXE is the healthiest 1.9L TDI PD engine among all PD engines.
What did the dealer check? Do you have any information about that?

Hello,

The performance fluctuates; sometimes it runs reasonably well, but other times the typical TDI "lag" is completely gone. I've already provided a more detailed description above.
Unfortunately, I don't have a detailed report on exactly what each of the four workshops did. However, I know that one of the workshops replaced O-rings located on the top left side of the charge air hose, near the engine cover. Apparently, all measurements were within acceptable limits.

That's the current state of affairs, but I am absolutely not satisfied with the situation.

Regards,

Markus.

I assume that the workshop has checked various things, including performing a test drive and verifying the plausibility of the measured values.
Another question: Where do you live? And when do you feel like the service is supposedly working, and when is it not? Don't ask me why I want to know this information.
If you can, please feel free to contact me via private message.

Hello,

I haven't been able to attribute its operation to any specific circumstance yet.
"Yesterday night, it ran extremely well despite being fully loaded (5 people). However, that wasn't the case today, even though I was driving alone. Let's see how it runs tomorrow morning when I go to work."

I live on the outskirts of Hamburg.

Markus.

I'm guessing it's the darn DPF! It might be blocking the exhaust gases, which is why it's not working, or maybe the mechanic who installed it left a rag inside.

Hello,
It's quite strange that I'm experiencing the same symptoms even though I don't have a DPF.

It has even happened that the car ran well initially, but then performed poorly for the rest of the day after a stop.

I, too, have never been able to establish a connection with the weather. I used to simply attribute it to the atmospheric pressure.

Do you have any possible causes for such problems?
Feel free to contact me via private message or email.

Best regards, Mike.

Hello,

I was just driving through the city and decided to push my Golf a bit harder. I was driving with about three-quarters of the accelerator pedal pressed and revving the engine up to around 3500 RPM. When I looked in the rearview mirror, I almost felt sick – it was smoking like a 25-year-old 200 D.
And that's despite the fact that I have an RPF.
Is that normal? I thought that with Euro 4 and RPF regulations, there wouldn't be anything left to see.

Regards,

Markus.

Actually, there's not much to see, but it's very obvious that something is not right with your BXE.

Strong exhaust fumes usually indicate a leak in the intercooler system or a stuck EGR valve.

However, excessively high back pressure in the exhaust system can also cause this.
Therefore, a retrofitted DPF is not entirely out of the question as a potential source of error. Do you happen to know which manufacturer it is?

We can't proceed without logs.

Hello,

That's a good starting point, thank you.
My DPF is a genuine part from VW, and the manufacturer is HJS.

Today, I drove about 200 km on the highway, and I was driving quite fast for me, somewhere between 160-190 km/h. The DPF should have regenerated during that time, but when I tried to accelerate normally at a traffic light, it didn't behave any differently than if I had been driving in the city for 1-2 weeks beforehand.

Then I think, as you wrote, it's probably mostly related to either the EGR valve or the intercooler system.

I can't log the data myself, and I don't trust VW to do it. Maybe VAGTUNING or someone else here in the forum could help with that. I live on the western outskirts of Hamburg.

Markus.

Hello,

Yes, it was supposed to be checked, and apparently everything is supposed to be okay.

Hello.

"I'm experiencing the exact same problems. I have a Polo 9n3 1.9 TDI with 100 horsepower and a standard DPF. When I give it full throttle in 3rd gear, the engine only revs up to a maximum of 3000 RPM. If I do the same in 2nd gear, it revs higher, but it loses power and stops accelerating around 3000 RPM."

'You're really curious about what he's doing in the 5th [grade/year]? Is he going to quit at 1500 [points/level/etc.]?'
What is he running? 100?

Do you happen to have VAGCOM?
Year of manufacture?
Clutch pedal switch?
