You're not really reading what we're writing, are you? If you were, it would start and run properly.

That is not the function of the glow plug. Furthermore, afterglow does not serve any purpose other than complying with certain emission standards. A diesel engine will also run without them - mine did, even when the plugs were broken. You wouldn't necessarily notice it immediately after starting the engine.

Please read some basic information about the diesel process.

It won't change anything about your "problem," but as Martin and I have told you repeatedly.

Regardless, you should definitely replace broken spark plugs, but please check first to make sure they are actually broken!

None of the possible causes listed above accurately describe the 'overall picture' of my problem and can therefore be ruled out.
mostly also can be excluded completely (100%).

I had hoped that someone else might have encountered a similar problem to mine before.
If anyone is interested, they can try removing the wax from an old candle and using it, and then report back here to see if it matches my properties. Of course, I will be looking at all of them anyway, so I'll know if that's the cause, and I'll report back here what it was.
I can now only reassure everyone and say that I will follow all the tips here as soon as the temperatures are such that you can move your fingers.
And if anyone feels offended by this -> Sorry!!!

Um... why? I already wrote above several times that I drove around for MONTHS with three headlights that were so broken they weren't drawing any current at all. Therefore, they were identical to defective headlights. The fourth headlight was also quite worn out - according to the mechanic, I didn't replace it myself.

The car ran great with it; it only ran a little rough for the first few seconds after starting. There is no catalytic reaction on the spark plugs for normal ignition, as diesel engines use compression ignition.

I don't understand why this statement (i.e., my report "candles broken, car running normally") should be irrelevant to your problem.

You can also test the glow plugs when it's cold; it's a quick process. Take a 55W 12V lamp and attach two cables of sufficient gauge to it. Then, disconnect the wires from the glow plugs and connect one end of each cable to the +12V of the battery, connecting the other ends sequentially to the terminals of the glow plugs. If the lamp remains dark, the glow plug is faulty. If the lamp lights up brightly and then gradually dims slightly, the glow plug is okay.

Okay, but I only know that now - you could have told me right away that there was something wrong with the injectors and not let me struggle with it like this (said in a friendly way, of course).

I could only suspect that something wasn't right with the combustion process!
So, the error was located exactly where it really hurts – somewhere you'd want to consider as a last resort.

The fuel injection pump then started to leak, so I replaced it, and all the errors disappeared except for a slight hesitation when starting and downshifting in that lower RPM range.
Now, a seal had come loose, and I correctly suspected that the fuel injectors were affected (they were clogged, and they already had 200,000 kilometers on them) – yes, only 1-3 holes were open in all four of them.
I've now put the original Bosch part back in – everything is perfect again.

I don't understand why this statement (i.e., my report 'candles broken, car driving normally') should be irrelevant to your problem.
'You're looking for possible errors, pondering and searching... and you come to the thought that the diesel engine must ignite at the glow plug, and if the glow plug is completely gone, meaning the housing is missing, it should behave differently (in terms of the catalytic converter) than if only the coil is broken and the housing is still there. And in my case, the housing was actually gone, completely burnt off.'
Now, after replacing the spark plugs, I also realized that the glow plugs have absolutely no effect on the ignition properties (in a TDI engine).
The diesel engine ignites directly upon injection due to contact with the compressed oxygen.
I was just missing that comment, 'whether it's with a case or not, it doesn't have such a significant impact.'
I'm so incredibly sorry to you.

I'm also glad that the car is running smoothly again now.
