Cause:
In some Sharan vehicles equipped with air conditioning and a 90-ampere three-phase alternator, there is a possibility of premature wear of the ribbed belt.


Procedure:
On all affected vehicles, the fixed pulley on the generator must be replaced with a freewheeling pulley. In addition, the ribbed belt needs to be replaced.
