Ihr dürft aber auch eins nicht vergessen, nicht bei allen EDC15 werden die KM mitgezählt. Das ist selbst bei einem Steuergerät mit 2 verschiedenen Softwareständen schon so, das eine Version die KM mitzählt, die anderen nicht.

EDC16 should generally be supported and integrated in most cases.

It doesn't work with the bus either; I've never had any success.

Some of the 102 models are compatible. Some of the 150 models exhibit the aforementioned phenomenon. The T5 engines themselves are EDC16 and should generally be compatible.

Mal blöd gefragt: gibt es auch Benziner die gehen?

It's filed with MED9/MED17. Whether, how, or when something will come from that – I don't know

No, for our T5, it's not about the engine code (MKB): The Body Production Code (BPC) and Manufacturing Year (BJ) are 09/2007.

Or can these be changed using the appropriate tools, just like the information displayed in the instrument cluster?
It would be nice if there were something reliable to rely on – besides the service booklet!

is easily editable. In most cases, even via the OBD interface

. Secure = hardly anything these days.

On Saturday, the issue I've been experiencing with different software versions, as mullemaus described, was confirmed. About a year ago, I had a 2006 Jetta with a BMM engine, and reading the mileage wasn't possible. On Saturday, I had it again, and I thought, "I'll just try it again," and sure enough, it worked

. In the meantime, the vehicle had been to VW for an inspection, where they likely performed a software update. There's no other explanation.
