With the help of the VCDS forum, I was able to find out more details.

The system consists of the "body sound control unit" J869 and a "body sound actuator" that is mounted on the injection molding machine. The actuator appears to function similarly to a bass shaker; therefore, it is NOT a loudspeaker.

Surprisingly, the GTI with engines CCZA and CCZB uses the exact same system, just with a different control unit.

Take a test drive, stop along the way and disconnect a cable, and then run the machine again: this should show the difference, unless the error immediately forces the motor into emergency mode.

Yes, it seems that in.pro has probably re-arranged the links, that's exactly what I was referring to above.

Currently, I don't need to take any more test drives with the GTD. I'd rather try a 103 kW engine again; I've only been able to experience that in the heavier EOS so far.

@all:
Does anyone know the reasons why VW recently reduced the official fuel consumption of the 103 kW TDI engine in the Golf VI from 4.9 to 4.8 liters, while the GTD remains at 5.3 liters?

Without "A", it's for the GTD; with "A", it's for the GTI.
But please note that a vibratory plate and a ;)control system (STG) for the vibratory plate are required }...

VCDS at the ready.
Remove the vibratory plate from the CAN-GW.
Listen to the difference.
re-enter and delete errors.

It would be unfortunate if the car went into emergency mode due to a "fault in the drive system CAN bus."

Mich wuerde der Sound eines Reihensechsers mit 12 bis 14 l Hubraum fuer den 206 reizen!

Dafuer wuerde ich dann sogar das Radio ausbauen und einlagern.

Besides that... Didn't Ford used to have something with a sound pipe built into the interior of the ST series cars? How exactly does that work?

With a real throttle valve, it could actually sound like something with tubes, right?

The Golf 2 D (JP), without the large rubber hose connecting the air filter to the fender, was quite nice.
