I had the engine completely overhauled (the crankshaft was re-machined, new bearings were installed, it was balanced, and new pistons were fitted). New valves and hydro's were installed on the head, the valve seats were machined, and the head was planed and polished.
I have replaced all the nozzle inserts of the PDEs and installed a new loader (with minor modifications).
The mechanical noises are gone... but not the shaking when accelerating...
The engine sounds rough when accelerating, as if one cylinder is not working properly.
It sounds round when idling.
The idle speed control values look good, and the minimum pressure of the tandem pump is
(7.5 bar @ 4000 U/min) is achieved even when the needle of my oil pressure tester vibrates strongly (at the lower dead point at 7.5 bar).
Based on the operating times of the PDEs, I would next replace PDE 1, as it is currently performing poorly. Have values between -128...
Based on the logs provided, I believe we can rule out the PDE cable harness, as the MWB 18 appears to be identical for all PDEs, and the error is consistently present.
Sorry, the logs are unfortunately quite long, as the extreme negative values only occur rarely.
They typically start with very little power when starting, often during acceleration. And only when the engine is warm.
Yes, I have installed the PDEs in the same location.
And yes, it runs on all four cylinders, but not with the same power...
Yes, it's correct, the values look similar... but the outliers were not present at the beginning.
(no values below -100) and they are increasing more and more....
I will exchange 1 and 2 at some point (I still need to get some Dehnschrauben first)
or can it also be done with the old screws for testing purposes? More likely or less likely...or?
I assume that the error is persistent... clearly, replace PDE.
What if the error persists? In which direction would it then be smart to continue searching?
Hello!
Was was ultimately identified as the cause of the shaking?
I'm currently experiencing the same problem and have already invested a significant amount of money, but I haven't seen any improvement yet...
Best regards, Dom
