Hello everyone,
Finally, I managed to try the regeneration process. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked so far. The authorization is accepted, and then I followed the instructions. I wanted to try a regeneration while the device was stationary.
After starting the regeneration process, VCDS instructs me to press and hold the brake and clutch pedals, then release them, then depress the accelerator pedal, and finally release it. It is at that exact moment that the error message appears for safety reasons.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I haven't tested the regeneration feature while driving yet...

Hello,
Is the load too high? What's wrong with turning around?
Best regards, Rainer.

"No. The load is less than 10g. There's nothing against it, but I didn't want to go specifically onto the highway, and I didn't have a co-driver to help operate things. I would like to be able to regenerate while stationary sometime, so I can take a closer look at the data and see what's happening." Audi A3 Sportback [8PA], 2.0 TDI CR [CFGB], STH mit FB

Hi.
Quote: | | but I didn't want to go specifically on the highway, and I was missing a co-driver to help me operate it. |
I'm not sure how much CR and PPD differ in this regard, but:
I usually start the motorcycle by logging in on the side of the road and then leisurely ride along country roads â alone and preferably at night, because that's when I can more easily maintain "my own pace."
I am still working on the perfect route, so that I arrive at my driveway feeling fresh and fully regenerated .
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.

What does the operating manual say about the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and the warning light? selber schrauben - statt Werkstattpfusch

The operating manual doesn't mention this.
But there's some new information:
Today, I wanted to relax and recharge during a leisurely highway drive. So, I prepared everything beforehand, entered the code (which was accepted), then selected the appropriate channel in the settings and changed it to "1".
First, VCDS complained that neither the importer number nor the device number was provided. I then entered these (a "0" was not accepted). However, the message still appeared stating that a login was required. So, it seems that the entered information is not correct for regeneration while driving?!
Here's what's new regarding the registration process: It worked before. I can't say why it's not working this time. What was different compared to the last time:
- The engine had previously been driven for 20 kilometers at approximately 100 km/h.
- The importer's number and everything else was already stored in the control unit (due to previous attempts).
"@Rainer: I received two logins from you back then. Could you please double-check if the one starting with 21XXX might be incorrect? The one starting with 27XXX, on the other hand, worked perfectly."
Regarding the DPF light: The clear text display showed nothing; only the heating element blinked during regeneration.
EDIT 10/30/2013:
The regeneration process worked perfectly during the drive. I have no idea what caused it back then. When the procedure started, the DPF icon was displayed on the instrument cluster (so it definitely has one!), and when the soot mass dropped below 3g, the icon disappeared. Hello,
Quote: | | @Rainer: I received two logins from you back then, could you please check again if the one starting with 21XXX might not be correct? The one starting with 27XXX definitely worked fine. |
One of them was wrong. In my opinion, the login for regeneration is the same whether the vehicle is stationary or in motion.
If the process fails to start or is interrupted, always check the environmental conditions first, as described in the instructions I linked.
Best regards, Rainer.

Almost no one has it!
Only some vehicles from the DHL fleet (and others) have this type of "DPF cleaning" light. |
Here's the proof.

I see the same image three times, but I don't see any 'proof' of anything. Or what is this supposed to be about?

Hey Mulle!
3x holds better .
No, look at the dashboard â in the center. There's a sticker there with the text that says exactly that ("Operating Instructions").

Oops, I accidentally deleted one file copy too many. It was a sticker on the dashboard that said not to turn off the engine when using symbol xyz.
Best regards, Rainer.
