Hello there!
Yes, I didn't rewatch the last 3 seconds.
ABut something else has come to my attention:
smudoo hat folgendes geschrieben: | | ... Attached is the log, the last 50 lines are just there when idle! ... |
It shouldn't be possible, because between lines 125 and 142, the LLRR values are frozen and the control is probably deactivated due to an increased LL speed >1400 RPM.
The "abtouren" then led to the 128s.
Then, 2 seconds later, it briefly stopped recording ... you don't know
Zitat: | Again:
First, make a decent audio file with accurate (time) indication of when the noise you are complaining about starts and ends.
Then, upload LOG 13/18/23 when idle with an error (also, please upload this!). It needs to be clear from which cylinder the problem originates! |
Please read carefully - do it properly :?
Best regards from Munich!

Hello,
Okay, after today's search, I've definitely identified the problem as being in the 4-cylinder engine. As mentioned before, the values are freezing at higher RPMs. After listening to the engine noise, I found a deviation of -2.89mg (Channel 13) in the 4-cylinder. I also worked with an oil additive (motor cleaner) today to rule out a clogged oil passage. After three applications, it should no longer be a problem.
I will remove the element tomorrow and try to inspect the valve seats with an endoscope. I will contact you again then.
Thank you for now. Best regards, Tom

Hi,
by experimenting with the elements, are you soon going to introduce a new error, that's not helpful. Similarly, messing around with the engine oil is not advisable, as PD engines are sensitive. The fact that it's now happening on the 4th cylinder, while suddenly less fuel is being displayed, is also not necessarily logical.
The risk is that the engine will be seriously messed up.
Please record a usable audio recording, both before and with the occurrence of the noise. If I understand correctly, the noise only starts around 2000 rpm, and remains there even at idle? Is there anything else noticeable besides the noise, such as an uneven running or a loss of power?
If you record measurements, this should include engine speed, injection quantity, temperature, injection timing, and duration. For example, Block 1 and 4. The indication of the time when the problem occurs should also be included.
Best regards,
Herbert

Hi,
I've found a problem: The PD (gasoline particulate filter) element has become embedded in the cylinder head, unfortunately I didn't notice this before.
This means that the diesel is running along the bottom of the cylinder head into the combustion chamber. I've attached the photos, you can clearly see the grooves in the cylinder head. On one side of the PD element, there's also wear.
So, I need to find a new cylinder head and then new PD elements and assemble them together...
Best regards,
Tom

Hi!
It's great that we talked about this
A certain amount of initial adjustment is normal and shouldn't be considered an error!
Yes, let's try swapping the PDEs - maybe that will already have resolved the noise.
Best regards from Munich!

I believe you, but the pictures don't really show it.
Good luck with the repair!

No, the problem isn't with the PDs themselves.
Take a look here: /viewtopic.php?t=25843&highlight=pd
There's a clip there of a PD with a throw-off fitting. It made no noise - it just sucked in air. But apparently that's not the case with your vehicle. As long as the PDs are still airtight...
