Hello everyone!
You're right, I didn't watch the last 3 seconds.
"By the way, I've noticed something else:"

It's likely not possible because the LLRR values are frozen between lines 125 and 142, and the regulation was probably deactivated by increasing the LL speed to above 1,400 RPM.
While descending, we encountered the 128ers.
What happened 2 seconds later, just before the recording was briefly interrupted... nobody knows .

First, create a proper audio file with precise time stamps indicating when the noise you're complaining about occurs.
After that , upload LOG 13/18/23 in idle mode with an error, and again (without modification!) here. It needs to be clear, potentially, which cylinder the problem originates from! |
Read carefully again - make it right again .
Best regards from Munich!

Hello,
Okay, after today's troubleshooting, I'm now certain the problem is in the four-cylinder engine. As mentioned before, the values freeze at higher RPMs. After measuring the engine while listening for the noise, I found a deviation of -2.89mg (channel 13) in the four-cylinder. Today, I used an oil additive (engine cleaner) again to rule out a blocked oil injector. After applying it three times, it shouldn't be related to that anymore.
I'll take the element out tomorrow and try to inspect the valve seats using an endoscope. I'll let you know what I find.
Thank you in advance. Best regards, Tom.

Hi there,
By constantly experimenting with the components, you'll eventually introduce a new error, and that won't achieve anything. Similarly, messing around with the engine oil is not a good idea, as PD engines are sensitive to it. It's also not necessarily logical why this would be related to the fourth cylinder, especially if it suddenly shows less fuel being consumed.
The danger is that the engine could be completely messed up.
Please record a usable audio clip, both before and during the occurrence of the noise. As I understand it, the noise only appears at approximately 2000 RPM and persists even when idling. Besides the noise itself, are there any other noticeable issues, such as an uneven running pattern or a loss of power?
When recording measurement data, it naturally includes parameters such as engine speed, fuel injection quantity, temperature, fuel injection timing, and duration. For example, blocks 1 and 4. It is also important to record the time at which the problem begins occurring.

Hi,
"I found a problem: The piston has become lodged in the cylinder head. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this earlier."
"That means the diesel fuel flows along the bottom of the cylinder head and into the combustion chamber. Please see the attached photos; you can clearly see the grooves on the cylinder head. The PD element shows wear on one half."
"Finding a new head (component) and then getting new PCBs (printed circuit boards) and assembling everything together..."
Best regards, Tom.

Hello!
It's good that we talked about it .
A certain amount of "warm-up" time is generally normal during operation and does not necessarily indicate a fault.
Yes, try replacing the head with new PDEs â maybe the noise *Thank you!* will already be included in that.
Best regards from Munich!

I'd like to believe you, but the pictures don't show that.
Good luck with the repair!

No, it's not the fault of the leadership within the PDS.
Look at this: https://community.dieselschrauber.org/en/viewtopic.php?t=25843&highlight=pd
There's a clip showing a PD with a loose fitting. It didn't make any noise, it just sucked in air. However, that doesn't seem to be the case with your vehicle. As long as the PDs are still sealing properly...
