Good morning, yes, the control unit is used and was purchased from eBay.

The cables I bought are in the PDF document.
"Only the Kufatec instructions mention a headlight leveling control unit, which I don't need for my car. That's why I connected the cables directly according to the Audi wiring diagram; the PDF document shows my wiring."

Your original TCU (Transmission Control Unit) has the part number 8K0 907 063 DD and was installed in an A4 manufactured in May 2015 (…8K4F…).
Your replacement TCU (Transmission Control Unit) is an 8K0 907 063 AJ, and the label on it indicates a date of July 19, 2011.
The wiring harnesses are from Kufatec, part number ?, suitable for an Audi A4 MJ ?. The PDF instructions you provided were likely deleted due to copyright issues. However, it would have been easier if you had simply given us the part numbers.
Where do these "new" headlights come from?
I can only assume that something doesn't fit together. What is the MJ (month and year) and STG number of the A4 used for comparison?

Good morning, here's the scan of the Audi comparison.
The part number for the Kufatec adapter is 36229, and the other cable is 37148-2. However, as I mentioned, I connected the cable differently because my car doesn't have a LWR (low beam range) control unit, so it's directly connected to the body control module. That also works fine. If I disconnect the cables from the level sensors, I immediately get an error in the body network. I can also perform the basic adjustment for the headlights, which isn't a problem. However, tomorrow I will re-check all the cables to see if there's any fault somewhere.

This is an Audi A4, manufactured in 2014, with part number 8K0907063DJ for the transmission control unit (TCU).
You'll probably have to go there.
It is questionable whether a control unit (ECU) from 2011 with part number 8K0907063 AJ will function correctly in an A4 MJ 2015, especially if it has the coding of an ECU from 2014.

"Find the wiring diagram specific to the vehicle's production year in the Audi (Erwin) documentation, match the Kufatec parts to the Xenon version accordingly, and ensure that no wires are missing. If everything matches, use the correct control unit for it, not an old one."

I've now taken the wiring diagram for the model from November 2011, which is identical to the one for the 2015 model, but as I said, I will double-check everything again tomorrow.

"I have another question. The Audi I'm working on has a control unit with the part number 8k0907063 DJ installed. Would it be possible to use the same control unit, specifically an 8k0907063 DJ from a Q5 manufactured in 2015, for testing purposes? This Q5 has the same wiring harness as mine for the headlights. Or is it not possible to use a control unit from a Q5?"

Best regards,

If the wiring is correct, it's definitely worth trying.
The wiring diagrams are valid from November 11th until June 2014; I don't have them for July 2015 onwards.
Have you noticed the difference with and without the cornering light?

Yes, I saw that 2015 is the same as 2014.

Okay, the "Data Bus Drive" error only appears when I set byte 31 to 02. If I change it to 00, the error disappears, but then I can no longer perform the initial headlight adjustment.

I'm currently in the process of testing all the cables again.

I think I've found the problem, but I can only test it tomorrow.

Is it allowed to post a link from another forum?

Two cables still needed to be run from the CAN control unit to the body control module.

Thanks for the feedback! Which two cables did you have to install? I think it was probably the CAN bus cables from the xenon control units to the body control module.

Best regards, Rainer.

No, the cables for the headlights were all okay and matched the wiring diagram for the Audi. The cables need to be run from pin T20d/16 and pin T20d/6 on the J533 module to pins T16b/10 and T16b/11 on the body control module. After that, the error disappeared immediately from the FIS (driver information system), and I was then able to clear the CAN bus error, and everything was fine!

Thank you again for your efforts.

Best regards,
