Update:

Yesterday, all hydraulic lifters and connecting rods were replaced.
Some of the connecting rods were quite worn at the "hydrolocation", so they were replaced as well.
The timing belt was replaced and properly tensioned.
The "wobbling" camshaft pulley was also replaced.

Conclusion: The engine is running just as poorly as before. :(

There is still a significant difference between the target and actual injection start time (See attached image).
I also read that the injection volume is much too high, at 7.2 mg/h (See also attached image).
In a similar vehicle, even with a newly overhauled pump, the injection volume is 5.0 mg/h.

I am now very confident that my newly overhauled injection pump is the cause. What do you think?

I will return the pump to the company for further inspection.

Check fuel injection start with VCDS and TDI timing checker.

It's best to post a Screenshot.

I've now scrolled through the topic again, but there's nothing mentioned about adjusting the fuel injection start time. I mean, it doesn't just happen like that, you have to do it. :wink:

Hello, I have stopped the injection, which is at -2.0.
I have already removed the pump, it will be checked tomorrow.
I will report after it has been checked.

The injection start was still a significant difference between TARGET/ACTUAL.

I would of course like to share the solution to the problem with you.

It was actually the "new" fuel injection pump that was the issue.
I returned it and received a new one, installed it, and everything is now working perfectly!
It did cost me a lot of nerves, but now it's running as it should
