Because the engine control unit triggers an action (e.g., opening or closing the EGR valve) and checks the effect based on the mass airflow sensor (MAF) values. These MAF values should then change, and that is exactly what they do not do in this setup.

Relay. See above.

Perhaps there's a component where you can connect the vacuum hose from the EGR valve.
The resistance then changes with decreasing or increasing pressure (e.g., a boost pressure sensor, but working in reverse). This value is then integrated using the signal from the mass airflow sensor.
I hope you haven't already written this, as I only understand about 30% of what you write.

It would be even better if the AGR (Aktivierungsregelungsgeber) duty cycle could be practically disabled via software.
I'll check with my colleagues at work to see if there's a suitable option available.
For example, it also works with AFN. However, unfortunately, it's not quite icon_cry.gif.

Hello again,

Based on my research so far, I can rule out self-biasing FETs like the BF245 for this project, as the source-drain resistance is too high, at a minimum of 200 ohms. I only want to include a bypass relay as a last resort.

An (and even more user-friendly) alternative would be a FET that ideally exhibits the following characteristics, similar to a bipolar PNP transistor:

The S-D section is completely blocked when Vgs = 0 volts.
The S-D characteristic curve starts to exhibit conductivity at a gate voltage (Vgs) of approximately -1 volt, and has a resistance below 20 ohms at a gate voltage of approximately -2 volts (thus, it is "fully conductive," for example, when the drain voltage (Us) is 4.0 V and the gate voltage (Ug) is 2.0 V).

Are there such (self-biasing??) low-noise FETs, or any with at least similar characteristics?
If so, what types could I use?

(I started browsing my VRT list and downloading various datasheets, but so far, everything is leading in the wrong directions *FRUSTRATION* icon_evil.gif.
Perhaps someone here has a tip, straight from the sleeve.
Gruß Ulf

Hi Ulf,

You probably can't convince me about AVR and similar things? I've recently had very good experiences with the "comfort blinker" project. For a small amount of money, you can create something incredibly powerful, and you can also check all sorts of things without having to put in more effort than a few lines of software.

Best regards,

Jan.

Hello everyone, I'm the new one icon_wink.gif.

Ulf, isn't that the BS 250? As far as I remember, it has a threshold voltage of 1-2 volts and is very low impedance.

Otherwise, this is a great forum. I've been reading it for a while and have learned a lot.

My vehicle: Octavia station wagon, pump-injector engine, 96 kW, first registered in 05/03. So far, no problems.

Best regards, Christian.

Hi Christian,

I just downloaded the datasheet, and from my initial impression, this device might be helpful.

Thank you }.

Hi Ulf, I completely forgot to send you the alternative transistor circuit diagram.

At one point, my keyboard stopped working, which you can probably tell from my brief response above.

Okay, I'm going to delete my scribbles now.
