It's not quite simple.

VP37 modules in passenger cars are likely to be mostly of the EDC-15 type (excluding older models).

However, the EDC-15 can also support PD and CR technologies, so it's not easy to say definitively. Since it's vehicle manufacturer-specific, you'll likely have to search through the Bosch online catalog.

Hello everyone,

My package arrived, and now the disassembled item is lying in front of me.

It's an ABS unit, likely from a previous generation Golf 3 (model number 1H0 907 379D, now superseded by ...375), which, according to the markings on the chips, either comes from Teves or uses Teves software.

Gremlin is correct; there are two CPUs inside, specifically MHS 83C154 controllers from the 80C51 family, likely with 16KB of ROM and 256 bytes of RAM.

"On the two EEPROMs, besides "TEVES" and some (unsearchable) data, one of the other chips is from Siemens Austria, and one has been deliberately ground down so that its markings cannot be read."

For those who are curious... I've attached the pictures.

Does anyone happen to have information about the pin configuration of this part? It's probably possible to find that in the wiring diagrams for a Golf or Polo, but before I try looking there, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows offhand.

1H0 907 379 is replaced by 1H0 907 379 B and later replaced by 1H0 907 379 D.

It is an ITT Mark 04, formerly known as a Teves 04.

In this case, it's a pure ABS system, without Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

This part was originally installed in the Corrado, Golf (1992-1995), Golf Cabriolet (1994-1998), and Passat 35i.

Ideally, only functions 01, 02, 05, and 06 should be accessible through the self-diagnosis feature.

While we're at it, I need a part number for a diagnostic connector.
My desk is a complete mess, and I want to tidy it up now.

Current test environment:

Engine Control Unit (ECU) for Volkswagen Golf 3, part number: ABS.
Audi ZV/DWA/FFB control unit.

Okay, the first control unit is right here in front of me. It's an airbag control unit.

Type: 1H0 959 656

The device contains a Motorola IC (ZC408999CFNA), a Siemens IC (TLE4261, a 5V voltage regulator), and another component labeled 'SA20' which is part of a 'loose mass' (crash sensor).

Does anyone know the pinout configuration for this control unit (STG) offhand, or have any more information about it?
