Possibly, the paper settings are incorrect.

There's nothing wrong with the way they're set up; they clean the windshield perfectly, but then they just stir up the foam and spread it back onto the glass.

You can only adjust the angle of the rubber blades, which affects the actual wiping process. I've already tweaked that setting because otherwise, the double edge wouldn't turn over properly.

Yes, good idea, but it's definitely a "swirl problem" because it's speed-dependent, and it's causing splatters, not streaks (which would indicate insufficient pressure).

It bothers me that, under normal conditions, these windshield wipers get blocked by ice on cold nights and then can no longer conform to the shape of the windshield. Manually wiping them clean helps, but it's a hassle, especially when you could theoretically just start driving thanks to the heated windshield.

I wanted to write this yesterday, but I forgot.

My flat-blade windshield wipers (also known as aero blades) surprisingly work very well on my Audi when driving in heavy snowfall. I never experienced that with the Bosch Twin blades on my previous car (a Golf 4).

However, it's also possible that the 'optimized' aerodynamics of the A4 are to blame, as the standard wipers are even faster there. The Aero wipers simply offer a slightly smaller surface area.
It always annoyed me last winter in Austria when you were forced to stop for the windshield wiper cleaning break: From the balmy 22°C to the freezing -22°C.....

Otherwise, the wiping ability and flexibility are perfectly fine, and it wipes very well.

I think that Aero wipers ice up less than regular wipers. The problem with regular wipers is that the blade holder can get stuck due to ice and snow buildup. This reduces the pressure on the windshield, resulting in poor wiping. This doesn't happen with Aero wipers.
