@ lappen: Sounds good!
The first workshop probably installed the timing belt incorrectly. Due to extreme twisting of the pump, it started up more or less improperly.
'The second mechanic installed the spark plug with the two electrodes and re-gapped it – the pump needs to be realigned afterwards. It still doesn't start well, but it runs better than it did on the W1.'
If it starts today, I'll have to go to the hardware store anyway, so I can also check the logs for Ulf – let's see.

I once took logs with different measurement blocks, but I can't find my documentation for them anymore.
Just for fun:

However, I've experienced some more problems after driving about 300 kilometers yesterday.
But first, take a look at the logs...

Hello wurbel,
We've also encountered the problem of an incorrectly timed injection start before. I used to measure the pump timing using a clock (and I still think it's a good method).
If you need the settings for the 1Z, here they are:
Stroke of the lifting piston at top dead center: 0.70 mm +/- 0.02 mm.
The tolerance range is from 0.65 mm to 0.75 mm.
Regards, nobbif.

Hello,
Okay, I would first make sure the engine is properly warmed up.
Then, start the timing checker.
Check the box if the temperature is above 80°C = OK.
Then I suspect the following will appear: 'SB not visible outside the display area (late).'
Then, rotate the pump towards the early position until the sensor is properly aligned.
Greetings.
