Thanks for the feedback! Which two cables did you have to install? I think it was probably the CAN bus cables from the xenon control units to the body control module.

No, the cables for the headlights were all okay and matched the wiring diagram for the Audi. The cables need to be run from pin T20d/16 and pin T20d/6 on the J533 module to pins T16b/10 and T16b/11 on the body control module. After that, the error disappeared immediately from the FIS (driver information system), and I was then able to clear the CAN bus error, and everything was fine!
