The mobile phone adapter that is mounted on the "ear," is it only there so that the corresponding device can be stored and charged, or what?
According to that, the FSE should also work without this adapter, right? |
As far as I know: No.
The phone-specific charging cradle either has built-in Bluetooth (or activates the Bluetooth function of the unit under the seat with a button press), or it connects via the contacts on the phone.
"If there isn't a device with a Bluetooth symbol plugged in, a connection won't be established. It only requires some kind of charging dock (it doesn't matter which one) that has a Bluetooth symbol. However, this is just information I've read (I have the Touch). I haven't actually tried it myself."
If needed: I might have another one lying around. I think it's a Sony W800i or something like that. If you're interested: €15 including shipping.
I wanted to use the back part to screw on a phone-specific mount for my SGS2. However, I never started doing that, and now I have a different phone...

Greetings.
Sure.
Here is the translation of the text from German to English:
"Guste" means "gust" in English. It can also be used as a verb, meaning "to gust."
