I was misled by the title of your message.
Regarding your vehicle, it is not an A4 8K after 2011, but an
A6 4F with production in May 2011.
Therefore, the encoding of the AU48 platform also does not work on your
AU56 platform.
The required encoding is different, and VCDS will show you the coding options available in the program. The necessary login codes (if needed) will also be displayed in the program when you hover your mouse over the corresponding field.
Here are the Ross-Tech instructions:
"**IMPORTANT: Before starting any work on your vehicle, ensure that the ignition is OFF and the vehicle is in Park (automatic) or Neutral (manual).**
