Alex, I completely agree with you!

I also had my friend take the pictures; as you can see further down in the text, I wasn't riding alone.
I just meant that I have the pictures on my computer, but some of them are so blurry that you can't see much. The camera also has a relatively high shutter speed without a flash... icon_rolleyes.gif
I've changed the text above; you could really have thought I had three arms to be able to take pictures at the same time! icon_wink.gif

Hello,

What surprises me is that the red zone on the tachometer doesn't start until 4650 RPM. Can I conclude from this that the manufacturer has no concerns about sustained engine speeds around 4600 RPM?
By the way, my tachometer is the same, but the engine it's connected to is the old 1.6L diesel with a rated speed of 4500 RPM.

Hello.
Wolfgang.

Hi,

I understand it like this: icon_razz.gif Where the red area starts, things become critical. } Occasionally entering that zone probably won't hurt, } but it shouldn't be a constant state while driving. }

Best regards, Benny.

"It's not just a different number of teeth; it's also a different translation to the drive shafts."

It definitely complied with the relevant regulations, and the TÜV inspector also recorded it as such.
Please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will then give you only the translation, without any explanations.
DRW is the 6-speed gearbox for the ASZ engine with 96 kW / 130 hp.
It is slightly longer than the EFF or ERF.
At 4000 RPM, it achieves approximately 9 km/h in forward gear and about 3 km/h in reverse gear.

Best regards from the Palatinate region.

Of course, it also complied with the ARL (Arbeitsstättenrichtlinien - Workplace Regulations), and the TÜV expert also recorded it as such.

He simply registered it without providing any emissions test reports or other documentation.

That's a very flimsy excuse for the examiner; it doesn't matter to you!

Where was that done? Was it a regular inspection station, or DEKRA, or something else?

Regards,

Manuel.

Do you know how much an exhaust emissions test report costs? icon_exclaim.gif icon_question.gif icon_exclaim.gif
It was an expert from the TÜV... And it should be fine, or don't you think so? icon_wink.gif

It is slightly longer than the EFF or ERF.
It results in approximately 9 km/h at 4000 RPM for the EFF mode and about 3 km/h for the ERF mode.
DRW and ERF are also available for the AJM; I actually received my AJM with a new DRW back then! icon_wink.gif
But I'm not really getting a clear picture from your kilometers per hour readings...
Does it then consume significantly less fuel, or what exactly?

The DRW transmission is approximately 9 km/h faster than the EFF transmission and 3 km/h faster than the ERF transmission at around 4000 RPM, if one can even describe it that way.
All the values are calculated estimates. In practice, however, things may look different.

Peter.

Yes, but it shouldn't matter to you anyway, since you are the unknowing vehicle owner. The inspector signed off on it!

Manuel.

Hi,

Today, I drove the ARL TDI 4motion on the highway again... For some reason, it reached up to 4650 RPM and 230 km/h according to the speedometer... and it maintained that speed icon_cool.gif icon_razz.gif.
I was surprised myself, but I didn't use it for too long... I didn't want to break anything... 4650 RPM is very close to the redline.
But it's already a considerable speed for a 4motion vehicle with 17' wheels. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_eek.gif icon_smile.gif

Best regards, Benny.

P.S.: Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me... icon_evil.gif

Great!

My CTN on the 1Z will probably be the icon_evil.gif terrain version. Extra short translation to allow it to climb hills at a 45-degree angle???

http://people.freenet.de/golf-schrauber/tank1.jpg
It was going downhill with 195/60 14 tires (which are quite large).

I need one more gear (or an automatic transmission!!!).

Martin had 100 kilometers left to reach the gas station (in Luxembourg) during the full-throttle test, and he didn't have a 5-liter canister with him.

After that, it continued like this (blurry because of trembling, because the tank was empty).
http://people.freenet.de/golf-schrauber/tank2.jpg

I then filled my G3 Var with 68.5 liters of fuel (even though it officially has a 60-liter tank!!!).

What's the price per liter right now?

By the way, I don't understand what's supposedly wrong with your transmission.
'Mine does the same thing at high speed!'

Best regards,

Oops.
I filled up my tank for €0.80 today in Kiel.
Otherwise, Kiel is usually among the most expensive cities.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'MFG' stands for 'Mit freundlichen Grüßen,' which translates to 'Sincerely' or 'Best regards' in English. It is a common way to end a formal letter or email.

My speedometer shows exactly 185 km/h at just over 4000 rpm when I'm in 5th gear.
