Can a cruise control system be retrofitted to the new Polo TDI (1.9L, 100HP)? If so, are there any online instructions available, or a company where I can order the necessary parts like the turn signal lever, etc.?
Thank you in advance.
Hi,
The turn signal lever is available from VAG as a 'steering column combination switch' (should cost around 50 EUR). However, it's probably no longer a separate unit (like in my old Golf) but is integrated into a part with a second lever (possibly including MFA, etc.).
There is (probably) (not yet) an instruction manual available online.
I only know that retrofitting the GRA (automatic headlight range adjustment) on the Golf 4 was considerably more difficult (than on the G3), because the wiring was not pre-installed (as it was, for example, on the G3), meaning you have to connect directly to the control unit.
I'm also interested! I've already found out that you need the entire steering column assembly and a new grinder, which together cost €132. I'm just not sure if the cables are already installed or not. Does anyone know?
