Steering Column Electronics Malfunction: False Command

Hello everyone,

I only have a problem when the light is on.
When the right turn signal is activated, either the central locking system starts to malfunction, or the lighting completely fails for a moment. At the same time, the warning symbol (!) flashes briefly. Another possibility is that the high beams turn on momentarily.
Worst case! The ABS warning light comes on and then doesn't turn off for half an hour!, in combination with another warning light (!).

Does the steering column switch need to be replaced because the insulation has failed, or is it just experiencing some contact issues, in which case it should be removed and cleaned?

Or is it ultimately a 'global' problem, and should I finally abandon my product, which represents high-quality German technology and engineering, and buy a Japanese one ?

The 'VW Golf' is slowly starting to annoy me.

Could anyone please offer advice or share similar experiences?

I would replace the lever (or rather, the switch inside it) if I were you.

I still have this turn signal lever lying around because I upgraded it with GRA (Ground Reality Augmentation) switches.

But keep in mind that the light switch is located in the windshield wiper lever.
