Hello everyone.

"On my Passat 3B6 1.9 TDI 130 hp, manufactured in 06/2001, with engine code AVF, I've been experiencing the following problem for a few weeks:"
Lock doors with remote control -> Activate interior monitoring -> Unlock with remote control -> Alarm system is active.

-Error memory already read, no entries found.
-I have the impression that the problem occurs more frequently at lower outdoor temperatures.
-The workshop is at a loss.
- The MFA (Multifunction Display) does not report any open doors/tailgate during driving, which suggests the microswitches are working (?).

Could the problem possibly be caused by a weak battery in the FFB (force feedback base)?

No, when the doors are unlocked, the signal from the FFB is transmitted and received without any issues.

The DWA (tyre pressure monitoring) control unit, along with the central locking control and the FFB (front-axle lift) receiver, are located in the central control unit for comfort functions.
It's located under the carpet, in front of the driver's seat.

According to your description, the alarm system should go off every time the doors are opened, or am I misunderstanding something?

Hello,

It works like this:
Pressing the "close" button on the FFB once locks the doors and activates the interior monitoring system (confirmed by a short beep). Pressing the "open" button on the FFB twice unlocks the doors.
At the same time, the alarm goes off without me opening any doors.

Wieso 2x mal betätigen ? Die original FFB hat doch einen knopf für auf und einen für zu ? Woopen with double-click?

Or did you program individual door unlocking, and is that how you're unlocking the entire car?

Hi.

Yes, I have programmed the single door opening.
Pressing the "Open" button on the FFB (Front Door Button) once will only unlock the driver's door.
Press the "Open" button twice on the FFB (Front Door Handle) -> all doors will unlock.

It has been working for 3 years without any issues, and now it's causing problems.

What happens if you only unlock it once? Does the same thing happen?

..I just tried this:

Pressing the "Entriegen" button once triggers the alarm system, but the other doors remain locked (door pins are engaged).

While the alarm system is beeping, press "lock" once and then "unlock" once. This will unlock the driver's door, while the remaining doors remain locked. The alarm system will not trigger, indicating a normal state.

'I'd really like to see the last 4 error messages from the alarm system's self-diagnosis log. It should indicate what triggered the alarms. To be sure, I'll simulate a different cause and then check again. If the same error message appears again, I'll investigate further. If there are no other findings, it's 99% likely to be the comfort control unit.'

Can you please tell me how I can access this information using a diagnostic tool?
Okay, I'll check on that over the next few days.

Thanks in advance for the information.

The last 4 trigger signals are located in the control system, specifically at address 46, using function 08 (read measured value block) in block 015.

Possible alarm sources.

Tailgate contact switch.
1.

Rotary cam switch HR.
2

Rotary cam switch HL.
4

BFT swing gate operator.

Cam switch FT.

Ignition.

Interior monitoring.
32

Hood contact switch.

Cam switch FT.

I'm just assuming that all other potential causes that could trigger the issue, including the door lock mechanisms in both locking positions, the buttons (which might be stuck), and the contact switches for the engine compartment and trunk, have already been checked or will be checked immediately, and that the values read from them will be verified for plausibility.

Hi.
I went to the VW dealer today. Unfortunately, even after several attempts, they were unable to establish a connection to the comfort control unit using the diagnostic tool.
Disconnecting the aftermarket radio also didn't solve the problem.
The friendly person now believes that the KSG (likely referring to a specific device or component) may have gotten wet under the driver's side floor mat, and that a connector may have corroded as a result.

Further attempts using VAG_COM 409-1 were also unsuccessful; it was not possible to establish a connection.

First, it said 'error memory is empty,' right?
It seems there was still a possibility.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery completely for a minute?

Otherwise, I'll probably just get a new KSG.

Hi.

"I disassembled the KSG today, and there was nothing wet or corroded."
The battery was disconnected for 8 hours, but the error described above still persists.
Logging into the KSG (46) is still not possible using the VAG tester; a connection to the control unit cannot be established.

Today, there was another surprise:
"Whenever my colleague locks his Skoda Octavia with the keyless entry system, the alarm on my Passat, which is parked next to it, goes off (I'm not kidding, I've tried this five times today)."
Can anyone make sense of this?

I have now acquired a new KSG and have already installed it. The part number is identical to the original KSG.
After that, the FFB (Front Bottom Button) stopped working, and when I locked and unlocked the doors with the key, the tailgate would open. I thought it was probably all related to the coding.

Therefore, I'm going to the vet today to have my pet microchipped and get a KSG code.
Subsequently, the radio keys were programmed.

Conclusion:
Open with FFB -> 4 doors will unlock.
"When closing with the FFB (presumably a remote control), the vehicle locks, the alarm system activates, the LED in the door handle blinks, and the trunk lid opens! The lid pops open to the first locking position, while the hazard lights flash simultaneously. Therefore, the unlocking mechanism on the trunk lid is working in the exact opposite way."
"Additionally, the mechanical tailgate release mechanism, which is operated via the handle, is not working at all."
Error codes read: no entries found.

Kindly perplexed.
Are you too?
