Audi A4 8E: Standheizung Installation & Reparatur

Hello,

Is there a way to turn on the auxiliary heater in my A4 8E, manufactured in 04/2003, using my mobile phone?
Building (or buying) a circuit that outputs a +12V or ground signal when a mobile phone receives a call is not a problem, but can I connect it to the auxiliary heater so that it turns on?

I didn't install the original remote control. Does anyone know how it works when you want to turn it on? Does the receiver only transmit a +12V or ground signal, or is there more to it?

Aftermarket auxiliary heaters are activated with +12V. As long as 12V is present, the heater will run; a single pulse is not sufficient. However, this may not be the case for auxiliary heaters installed from the factory, as they may operate via bus systems instead.
