Hello,
I might be able to get a relatively inexpensive set of PDE injectors from a Golf GT with the 170PS TDI engine. Visually, they look the same as the ones from the ARL engine. Would it be possible to swap them? The PDE injectors from the 170PS TDI use piezo technology and operate at a maximum pressure of 2200 bar (compared to 2050 bar for the ARL), which should provide a good performance boost (after adjusting the engine control unit).
Do you mean that this is possible, or would the entire fuel injection unit need to be replaced?
When combined with a hybrid charger, this setup should produce a power output of around 190 horsepower (possibly even more) without overloading the high-pressure fuel pump (PDE) or turbocharger. With an additional oil cooler, it should be quite reliable. What are your thoughts on this?

What license plate code is that supposed to be? Or, do you have the part numbers for these PDE's handy? icon_wink.gif

Unfortunately, I don't have either of those. The engine is also brand new and is currently only offered in the Seat Altea, but it's now also available in the Audi A3 and VW Golf GT. It's a 2.0L 140hp TDI engine that, at least in some versions with PDE (Piezo PDE, 2nd generation) injectors, has a flow-optimized intake to the turbo and runs with 50 or 100 bar more boost pressure. The engine control unit is also different. As far as I know, the engine block is based on the 1.9L design, but with larger pistons and optimized channels. The cylinder head for the 140hp models has been upgraded to 16v technology.
Okay, here's the translation:

"So, another question: Are there any head gasket options available for a 1.9 engine that reduce compression? If so, where can I find them and what are the costs? If not, where can I get one custom-made, and what material would it be made of?"

Unfortunately, no, I'm missing both of those. The engine is also brand new and is currently only offered in the Seat Altea, but it is now also available in the Audi A3 and the VW Golf GT. It's a 2.0L 140hp TDI engine, which, at least for some versions with PDE (Piezzo PDE 2nd generation), has a flow-optimized intake to the turbo and runs with 50 or 100 bar more boost pressure, and the engine control unit is also different. As far as I know, the engine block is from the 1.9L with larger pistons and optimized channels. The cylinder head for the 140hp models has been converted to 16v technology.

I'm not familiar with that, at least not currently or until now.

Then, another question right away: Are there any decompression cylinder head gaskets for the 1.9 engine? If so, where can I find them and what are the costs? If not, where can I have them made, and what material are they made of?

Pistons, with increased displacement of 2.0 or 2.1 liters, are available. icon_wink.gif These also reduce the compression ratio.

To be honest, you can't even attach those to the cylinder head.
In the 1.9 TDI engine, the injectors are held in place with a wedge, while in the 2.0 TDI engine...
They will all be fastened with 2 screws.
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the brand new 1.9 Pd.

I also mean that the 'new' ones are threaded on both sides. The older ones are threaded on only one side (we know the result icon_wink.gif), and the new ones are like this. icon_wink.gif

If it's using piezoelectric injectors, you'll also need a Siemens control unit, because the power stages within the control unit are completely different.

Best regards,
Rudi

Thank you for your replies; I guess I'll have to abandon the idea.

Hello everyone,
...forget about it, but could the PDE (pressure differential sensor) from a V10 TDI fit?
Part numbers are PDE-P1.4/80/560 S 220 = 07Z 130 073 H and PDE P1.1/80/560 S 228 = 070 130 073 N. Could someone explain the nomenclature to me? What does, for example, PDE-P1.4/80/560 S 220 mean? Do these fit in the ARL (in terms of form factor/size/mounting/electrical control)?

Anstevelopment)

Even if they would fit.
He draws his power from 10 PD elements.
I therefore doubt that they will be significantly larger than those of the 1.9 version. ASZ, etc.

glaube also kaum damit die Größer sein werden als die von 1,9. ASZ, etc.

Sure, why not icon_wink.gif?

PDE-P1.4/80/560 S 220 I have highlighted the hole size in red. icon_wink.gif

and PDE-P1.4 are not compatible with PDE P1.1. I believe that 1.4 already refers to the piezo elements, while 1.1 refers to the 'older' ones.

"Slowly, some clarity is emerging. Would the part number PDE P1.1/80/560 S 228 = 070 130 073 N be a suitable replacement?"

Theoretically, yes. It's just a little expensive to test. The mounting of these PDEs is identical to that of the AXD (96/130), so with M6*55 screws. I mean, these are also only attached on one side. If anyone has a set, I'd be happy to make myself available for testing. icon_wink.gif

To supplement: a set of (i.e., 4) 560 series items costs approximately €1457 for exchange. icon_wink.gif This is through a supplier network and includes tax.

Okay, since we're talking about piezo technology: Have you seen how quickly the idle speed control works on the piezo injectors? It's amazing, especially compared to the normal BKD engine (2.0L 4V 103kW).
