012-, 01A Flange, moves out of the gearbox, shaft seal leaking

Cause:
a)
Incorrectly installed compensating gear in the differential. It is missing the nut for the retaining ring on the flange.

b)
The retaining ring is missing on the flange.

Procedure:
When there are leaks at the flange face, it is necessary to check whether the flange face is securely seated and whether the locking ring is present.

a)
If the flange stop protrudes even though the locking ring is present, the gearbox must be replaced.

b)
If the fuse ring is not present, it should be installed with part number 012 409 413 A and the flange pivot should be checked. Replace the O-ring!
