hello
I'm looking for the fuse box on my Seat Alhambra (which is similar to the VW Sharan), but I'm not sure where it might be located.
Can you help?
Best regards from France.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers icon_biggrin.gif.

Which control unit are you referring to?

Engine control unit:
As far as I know, behind the speedometer...

Comfort control unit:
under the driver's or passenger seat.
Aktuell:
- Sharan Goal '04 V(R)6 2.8 150 kW, ab 09.08.2007 mit Vialle LPI, MKB: AYL
- G3 VR6 '93 128 kW, MKB: AAA
Bis 07/2007: Passat Variant 3BG '01 2.5TDI 110 kW, MKB: AKN
Bis 03/2004: Audi A3 '00 1.9 TDi 96 kW, (MKB: ASZ?)

yes, sorry, it's the engine control unit.
behind the speedometer?
Oh man, what a stupid place!
thank you very much, stef.
It's located behind the dashboard, but only in the older models. The newer ones have it in the engine compartment, behind the battery.

hello
Unfortunately, it's quite old, manufactured in 1998. I'm going to try to expand it now.
The problem is due to a code 65535, which indicates a loss of full power. Sometimes there is no power at all, and when I use VAGCOM, it shows that the boost pressure is only measuring at 639 millibars.
Okay, I will watch it.
best regards, stef

Remember to remove the mounting clip from the bottom. Otherwise, you'll scratch the glass of the speedometer by repeatedly sliding it in and out.

3. Write vague and uninformative titles like "I urgently need help!" and get upset if the moderators give your thread a more descriptive title. icon_wink.gif

hello TDI enthusiasts.
Okay, I'm at the control unit now, and I've removed everything (speedometer, etc.). Now, how do I disconnect the connector?
I saw a click on the side where the hose goes in, so I pushed it, but it didn't come out. I don't want to pull too hard, did I forget something?
It's really a stupid place to hide a device like that; you can barely reach the steering column because the handlebars are in the way!
Thank you for your help.
best regards, stef

Hello Stef,
The hose needs to be lowered, and then the latch needs to be placed over the hose connector.
be pushed aside (if necessary, with gentle force).

Best regards,
Rudi

Great, thanks, it worked perfectly!
The hose inside the device had a hole. I replaced the hose, and now the device is working again, without any error codes.
Just one last question, and it's not really related to the topic: When I read the values using VAG-COM, in one area, the required injector quantity is 42 mg/h, but the actual measured injector quantity doesn't exceed 35.2 mg/h.
Is this normal?
Best regards,
stef
and thank you for the great forum, it has really been helpful.

Which one limits it - torque (008 - 3) or turbidity (008 - 4)?

If you look at measurement block 008 in the diagnostic tool (e.g., VAG COM),
Then, the first value indicates the speed (which is less important), and the second value indicates the quantity setting.
according to the accelerator pedal, the third is the amount allowed by the torque, and the fourth is...
the permissible amount based on the level of turbidity.
The lowest value indicates the actually possible injection amount.
'In your case, the reading was 42mg. My question is whether the reading of 35mg was obtained from sample 3 or sample 4.'
I'm guessing it's 4 (not enough air).

Best regards,
Rudi

ok I understand.
Okay, if I remember correctly, the last selected injection amount was somewhere between 42 and 45, and I believe the second one was the actual injection amount, always 35.2 at full throttle.
But I need to take a closer look at it.
sounds like a dying LLM?
I noticed that when accelerating fully, the LLM value goes up to 850, and then slowly decreases, staying between 800 and 850.
Okay, I will review everything carefully again.
Thank you very much for your help.

If it's truly a Russian restriction, then compare the intended and actual values for LMM (lambda-max modulation) and the actual and intended boost pressure.

You can review log files as many times as you like afterwards, and you don't always have to physically drive.

@Steff:
Which measurement block was that supposed to be?
Which tool did you use?
