Hello.
For some time now, a small water stain has been forming under my Golf in the garage.
Every time I drive him out of the garage, there's a noise near the diesel cooling plate.
Approximately 5x5 cm water stain. It appears regardless of whether it's very hot or rather cool outside.
It doesn't matter if I'm only parked in the garage for a few hours or for two days.
When opening, there's still a drip mark. The water needs to somehow drain from the sheets.
to run out from under the car.
I've only experienced it with the air conditioning. If it's not working properly, it can quickly leave a stain right in the middle of the car's roof.
Does anyone have any idea where the moisture could be coming from?

What kind of liquid is it? If it's just water, it's probably due to the climate. Maybe the drainage isn't working properly. There's a small hose that runs downwards; perhaps it's blocked or misaligned.
If it's coolant, you should check the level. Also, there's windshield washer fluid. Both of those should be visible when you check the fluid levels. Aktuell:

If it's located around the height of the fuel cooler, it's condensation from the air conditioning system. The hose comes out of the car body in that area on a Golf. And when you're using the air conditioning, something should be dripping out of there; otherwise, something is wrong. You can almost see the hose if you get on your knees and look under your car.
Since there are no more coolant hoses back there, any other defect would be a serious problem... (because coolant can also leak from the heater core if the radiator is leaking, but you would be able to smell and feel that).
Here's a simple tip: check the coolant level in the reservoir.
