Doku Polo 9N, water accumulates in the footwell during heavy rain (Solution)

Water accumulates in the footwell during heavy rain.

Cause:
Water is flowing into the holes located in the area of the front wheel arch / hinge of the front hood, towards the A-pillar.
The water accumulates there and then flows through the drain hole located beneath the trim panel into the footwell.

Solution:
Holes in the area of the front wheel arch / Seal the front hood hinge with body sealant. To better access the holes, the hinge must be disassembled.
