Hello, I'm trying my luck here and hoping to get an answer to my problem.
I'm having a problem with an Audi 2.5 TDI 132kW, manufactured in 2003, which has a Tiptronic transmission.
A week ago, the timing belt was replaced, and now the ESP warning light occasionally illuminates as an error. After a while, the error disappears (the ABS light does not illuminate). If the car gets properly warm after a longer highway drive of about 20 km, the ESP error remains until I turn off the ignition and restart the car.
The following errors are displayed during the VAG-COM diagnosis:
00550 Injection start control.
17-10 Rule difference interrupted.
18265 - Last signal error message from the motor control unit.
35-00
01119 Signal for pedestrian detection interrupted.
35 - 10
"Can anyone help me? Before we replaced the timing belt, the diagnosis was always accurate."
I suspect that the timing belt tensioner (for the smaller timing belt) has become misaligned. When the car gets warm, it seems to slightly alter the injection timing. I'll check it out in daylight tomorrow, as the problem only appears when the car is warm. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Okay, I'm going to check the dynamic boost start setting. Because of the load signal, I once had a similar message where my mass airflow sensor wasn't properly connected.
Why don't you go to the workshop that replaced the timing belt? They need to fix it. Aktuell:

We changed the timing belt ourselves, but today during a visual inspection, we noticed that the tensioner for the smaller timing belt (which connects to the ESP) has become tighter. Now, the two small levers on the tensioner are no longer aligned. It's probably due to the slightly tighter timing belt; I could swear that the two levers were aligned when we installed it and manually rotated the engine. Something must have caused the tensioner to tighten further.Possibly, we might disassemble everything again over the weekend; otherwise, you can't reach the spanner . I hope that's the only reason!
How can I adjust the start of fuel injection with VAG-COM for a 2.5 TDI engine with 132 kW?
I've also posted on the "Motortalk" forum and I'm desperately waiting for a response.

Hi,
Quote: | | Wie kann ich den den Förderbeginn mit VAG-COM für AKE 2.5 TDI 132 KW einstellen? |
not at all The initial adjustment must always be performed mechanically.
The diagnostic tool only indicates whether the setting is correct or in which direction it needs to be adjusted .
Best regards, Rainer.

And what do you think about that, and what values are we talking about?

You can adjust it either in the newer versions using TDI-Graph, or in older versions through the basic settings in MWB4. With the latter method, the timing should be early (less than 14° BTDC) and late (2° to +2° ATDC; 0-4° ATDC). However, it's best to check the target values specifically for your vehicle here in the forum; I've already provided you with the AKN values.
However, I don't think that can be explained by those factors. Try it first.
Why do you actually want to remove the torque wrench? It's going to take hours of work. You can tighten it perfectly well with a socket wrench and Allen key, or are you trying to say that one is broken? Aktuell:

Okay, so the error is gone, and the other two errors caused by the emergency program have also been resolved. The tensioner for the timing belt has been re-tensioned, and I've adjusted the ESP pump. Unfortunately, VAG-COM V3 doesn't have the TDI graph for the AKE engine. Also, I can't find any target values here for the AKE.
The ESP values are now within the target range in the TDI graph, using the AFN chart.
When I read the data block 004 from the engine control unit, I get the following values:
Speed: 766 RPM. / OT 2.0 / OT 2.4 / 66%.
With these settings and using the AFN graph, the engine runs smoothly without any issues. However, if I adjust the pump to a later timing for fuel injection (marked as "A" for start of injection), the engine will not start, or the AFN graph shows that ignition timing is occurring too early (indicated as "OT too early").
What should the values be?

MWB4 set to default settings; your values are not helpful. Please adjust your pump to 2°C above normal operating temperature (for late season operation, use default settings). Aktuell:

Great, that was a clear statement. I always thought it was related to the measurement block, not the basic setting.
Thank you, it is exactly 2 PM late .
