Hello,
Yesterday, during a heavy application of road salt on the Autobahn, we used enormous amounts of windshield washer fluid because the left-side spray nozzle was spraying too low at speeds above approximately 100 km/h.
I would like to position it higher, but I can't seem to find the right way to do it because the spray nozzle appears to be fixed in place.
According to the documentation, it should be a simple nozzle like the one found in the G4 or my Polo. However, at least on the Polo, the parts appear larger and have a ridge that likely allows for manual height adjustment.
"Does anyone know how to adjust the small Ibiza injectors (MJ 2001) and what tools are needed?"
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

Um... isn't that a control knob on the left side of the image? Or are those separate parts?

Well, that slot, which looks like it's for a screwdriver, is also puzzling to me.
However, it appears that the "rotatable part" cannot adjust the spray direction, especially since it looks like a single piece connected to the rest of the housing. I have replaced the attachment with a new version.

Hmm... well, from my perspective, it looks like:
a) The entire nozzle is either pushed out or tilted away from the cap by turning the small wheel.
b.) that it's only the locking mechanism or fastening of the nozzle.
c.) It's just a fake, and the nozzle can't be adjusted... I remember something similar happening at the company once.
Have you ever tried it?

They should actually be adjustable in the same way as those from a Golf 4 or Bora.
The part where the nozzle is located can be adjusted.
Maybe it's somehow "stuck" for you.
Best regards.
Maxx.

Yes, just now:
The "screw" has an eccentric head with a flat section (as shown in the image above) and is a through-shaft with two heads.
When twisting, the front part of the nozzle (in the direction of travel) is supposed to be pushed downwards away from the metal sheet, which would lift the spray stream at the back. However, when twisting, very little visible change occurs on the nozzle itself.
I still messed it up somehow... we'll see if it worked on the next highway trip.
Thank you for getting this far!
Gruß Ulf

The windshield washer nozzles on the Skoda Octavia are not adjustable. This hasn't bothered me so far because they work really well in almost any temperature and speed. If one of them starts spraying in the wrong direction, and cleaning it doesn't help, then it probably needs to be replaced.
The situation was exactly the opposite with the Golf II. I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted, and I never achieved a satisfactory result.
Regards, mcgregg.

That's right. However, the adjustment range is very limited, and if you turn it too far, you end up back in the starting position.
Best regards,
Thomas

...or the adjustment shaft comes loose from its clip and springs out towards you...
Well, if twisting doesn't help enough, then two new nozzles with the manual adjustment flange will be purchased.

So, as luck would have it, I'm now also having some problems with my injectors. That's why I took a closer look at them. My (Passat 3BG 2001) has this little "lever" at the outlet opening. You should be able to adjust the height with this lever, although I haven't tried it because the height seems correct. But you don't have that lever on yours.
It appears that the height is adjustable without changing the angle of the housing relative to the hood. There's an adjustment on the nozzle.
Okay, I'll add my question now. I need to verschandeln the nozzles; they seem to be slightly clogged. The spray pattern is poor.
- What's the best way to do this? Should I use a single needle like before, or remove the entire nozzle? -- How do you remove the entire nozzle? Is the supply line to the nozzles somehow connected to a rod inside the hood, or not? How is the hose attached? Is it just pushed on?

"That's exactly right. The height is adjustable without any problems. The part number for the 3BG 2001 is 6E0 955 986. Those are the ones with heating. I took some pictures, but my cheap camera makes them too blurry to see anything clearly. I'd be interested in the price if anyone has them available."
Here's how to remove them: First, remove the plastic covers from the motor hood supports. The heating element connectors are clipped in there. Disconnect these connectors. Push the nozzle forward (in the direction of travel) and then lever it down. Then you can simply pull off the hoses. Blow them out (preferably with compressed air), and they should work again. Do not use a needle, as this will damage the spray nozzles. If they still don't work properly afterwards, replace them.
Hopefully, it will be useful to someone.

According to Petzold, the 3B still has the nozzle adjustment as shown in the picture, or Etzold doesn't even know about my nozzles (although the book is also for the 3BG, but Petzold continues to refer to the "older" nozzles). Theoretically, a conversion should therefore not cause any problems.

The nozzles were replaced with part numbers 6E0 955 986A and later with 6E0 955 986B.
Cost per item: approximately €16 each.
In addition, you now need...
- Clutch 1J0 955 875P ~ €3.10
- angle 1J0 955 665H ~ €2.40
