Hello everyone!

I'm having the following problem: I can't seem to get the lock nut on the VTG linkage off. Is it extremely difficult to loosen from the factory, or am I just having bad luck? icon_cry.gif

Are there any tips or tricks for how to easily open a stuck jar?
I don't want to damage the icon_rolleyes.gif rod or the nut .

thank you in advance icon_wink.gif

Hi,

If you force the nut open, you can easily bend the rod. Therefore, you need to hold it in place with pliers or something similar.
If a standard adjustable wrench is overtightened (which hasn't happened to me so far), there are open-end wrenches available.

Best regards, Rainer.

Thank you, Rainer.

So far, I've just been taking things cautiously.
I'll try holding it in place with pliers and then see if I can loosen it with a wrench.
I just wasn't sure if the thread locker, the adhesive, could be removed.

Sure, here's the translation:

'MFG' is an abbreviation for 'Mit freundlichen Grüßen,' which translates to 'Sincerely' or 'Best regards' in English.

Hi,

My mother's belly hasn't moved even a millimeter, and now I can't even feel her anymore. I was even thinking about heating it up to see if I could somehow loosen the adhesive. However, I don't dare to do that while it's installed.

Best regards,
René K.

Hey everyone!

The mother wasn't actually that heavy.
I was just afraid of damaging something, but with a short, firm pull, it came open immediately.

Thanks again for your replies.
