Hello.

I plan to really tune up my 1Z engine, which is already chip-tuned!

I'm thinking about things like different engine components, turbochargers, intercoolers, fuel injection systems and injectors, exhaust systems, transmissions, drive shafts, modified engine electronics, crankshafts, pistons, and so on.

I was thinking about parts for an afn engine, or even better, parts for a pump-injector system.

Who knows what might fit there?
Does anyone know of a tuner who does this kind of work?

Best regards.

STEFAN

hi,
With the 1Z engine, you could likely achieve around 135 horsepower and approximately 310-320 Nm of torque without major issues. The engine components can handle that power. Mine currently produces around 310 Nm and 127 horsepower, and I can keep pace with a PD 130 horsepower or a BMW 320D with 136 horsepower on the highway. Of course, the gap increases at speeds above approximately 180 km/h. I've already shown respect to the gas stations.

Hi!

Check out http://www.team-dose.de,: they have a Golf 4 that's only been chipped, with 160 horsepower, and a 3-series with 250 horsepower and 420 Nm. The 3-series received several other significant changes.

Best regards,
Uwe

Thanks for the tip, but I don't think these engines are suitable for road use! (Reliability). And I also don't believe they'll tell me what they've done to them. They're not going to reveal their company's secret!

Hi!

Well, they're not really that big of corporate secrets. They're not called Ferraris.
Okay, so: The main changes involve the pistons, connecting rods, all bearings, clutch, fuel injectors, exhaust system, flywheel, camshaft, oil cooler, the cooling system in general, the engine control unit (well, the chip, of course), intercooler, turbocharger, and many small details. That's what one of the mechanics told me. The engine is almost street-legal, but it's not quite as reliable at full throttle, even though it's used in a 24-hour race. You never drive at full throttle for as long as you would on a highway. The lower-powered models also have many modifications, but the performance gains are almost exclusively achieved through chip tuning.
All vehicles run on biodiesel.
I suppose you'll need a lot of effort and money to reach around 200 horsepower. With more modest modifications like a chip, injectors, and clutch, you can already achieve close to 180 horsepower. Unfortunately, that won't be TÜV-approved.

Best regards,
Uwe

Hi,
Okay, a chip with a maximum... Optimized coolant flow, with fewer bends (more straight sections), made of stainless steel. The pump can be adjusted to a higher flow rate at a Bosch service center, which is still within the tolerances specified by VAG for the basic setting. Increased coolant flow provides more cooling.

Hello.

Does anyone know if the AFN engine from a Golf Mk3 will fit in my Audi 80 B4 TDI?
(Problems related to installing components sideways instead of lengthwise, etc.?)
What problems am I facing? Which fixed-gear transmission?
'Does that work?'

@ didl:

I once saw a website of someone who did that.
He said: Never again!

It took an incredibly long time and cost a lot of money.
I don't remember the exact details anymore.

Yes, I think I know the page...
However, she hasn't managed to discourage me yet.
