Some time ago, vandals drove a car through our street and damaged the parked vehicles. Since my car was the first in line, they had a lot of momentum, and some significant damage occurred. I then took my car to the dealership, requesting that they repair the damage and also fix the rear windshield washer system (the hose was detached). After 2.5 weeks, I picked up my car and discovered the following:
Windshield installed without the green tint, without prior consultation.
The hands-free system cable is loose in the footwell instead of being routed under the trim panel as before.
Passenger side, interior lighting switch is not working.
The interior surface of the instrument cluster (speedometer, tachometer, etc.) is fogged up.
Rear window washer: Protective hose not reattached --> Hole leading to the roof.
Since this is a comprehensive insurance claim, I have to pay a deductible of €500, while my insurance company will cover the rest, which is over €4000. The technician was not present when I picked up the car, and I only received an invoice; there was no explanation of the work performed. What should I do, and what can I demand?

Thank you for your help.
Gruß Thomas

"One wonders who the real vandals are when it comes to cars. I've experienced something similar before."

Best regards, Rainer. Good luck with your complaint.

'Tell that nice person to get real! This can't be true! These DIYers think they can take advantage of the poor customer. Since this wasn't just a simple repair, I'd take a closer look. Maybe you'll find something else you can claim about. Don't let them brush you off, and don't hesitate to threaten to involve a lawyer if you don't get a satisfactory result!'
