Coding Golf4 TDI all-wheel drive and 2WD in the engine control unit?

I am interested in the following:

What changes when I recode the engine control unit from all-wheel drive (AWD) to two-wheel drive (2WD)? The all-wheel drive system (Haldex) is still controlled normally with the 2WD coding, and no error codes are written to the control unit. Could it be that this affects the ABS, ESP, etc.? Although, the braking control unit is also coded for all-wheel drive?
