Hi,
When the ignition key is turned, a...
Okay, here's the translation:
'Turn on the interior lighting of my Golf 4. Now, I have a...'
My colleague noticed a delay of 5 seconds.
is the case - However, he doesn't like that!
Can this time be changed?
The interior light in my Seat turns on immediately.
I am grateful for any advice.

'Something is wrong. Even in the Golf IV, the interior light should turn on immediately after the key is removed. It's likely that the microswitch in the ignition switch is sticking and needs a certain amount of time to make contact.'

Hi,
Does anyone have any ideas???
It can't be the switch – just eat something.
Probably a setting that can be adjusted with VAG-COM.
can be corrected, or???

Hello, it's likely that the ignition switch is defective; this happens fairly often, especially if the radio is connected to the 'S' terminal (the radio turns on or off when you remove or insert the ignition key). This is less common with original radios, as they don't draw much power.
Best regards.

The idea from Edazer is good.
Perhaps there's a large capacitor from an external radio that is simply connected in parallel with the S-contact. This naturally stores energy and powers the interior lighting for a certain time. If you have an external radio installed, try disconnecting the ISO connector to see if it might be related to the radio. A duration setting adjustable via the diagnostic device doesn't really make sense (if anything, it would only be the duration of the lights after removing the ignition key, but not the switch-on time).

Oh my God, what nonsense have I written?
Perhaps there's a large capacitor from another radio nearby that is connected in parallel with the S-contact and maintains the power supply for a certain time, which is why the interior lighting doesn't turn on immediately...

Hi,
That sounds good!
An external radio is installed.
I'll take a look and let you know.
Thank you.
Olli.

Hi,
It was a 'GREAT TIP'!
'Radio ISO connector - I can't stop laughing!'
'The constant power and ignition power are obviously reversed.'
I should have known that, but it's obvious here.
often discussed.
Once properly connected, it works again.
The interior lighting - just as desired.
THANK YOU
Olli.
