Approximately 1 1/2 months ago, I purchased a Diganose adapter kit. Following advice from forums, etc., I didn't buy a diagnostic adapter from ebxx. Unfortunately, I've had a lot of trouble with the kit. It simply doesn't work; I can't read any data, although VAG-COM recognizes it. I was able to rule out the potential sources of error that Rainer mentioned, to the best of my ability. However, I am not an electrician.

Since I can't find a solution myself, and even a friend who works with electrical systems couldn't help me further, I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look at the device or repair it?

I would send it to the person, hoping they would get it back, along with the money for return shipping + €10. I hope it will work then.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but I think one of the 1uF electrolytic capacitors is also incorrect.

(This is also a common error, as noted in the instructions on the CD.)

I just wanted to thank Rainer again; the adapter for the building kit is finally working . It's truly amazing to me; it really was the swapped cables that caused the problem, and I didn't notice it, even though I measured everything, etc. I just couldn't think of something so simple. Anyway, thank you again; now I can start the diagnosis .

Now that I've finally managed to get my adapter working, and I don't want to start a new thread, I'm posting this here. I'm still having the problem with my maximum speed; it only reaches 200 km/h with great difficulty. Therefore, I've logged MWB values 3-8-11. Maybe someone can help me and see what might be causing it. Also, I have another question: what could be the reason that I can only get a decent log after about 30 attempts? Before that, it always crashes, with errors like "ECU not responding," etc. It seems like pure luck when I manage to get a good log without it crashing.
