Hello,
I'm having a problem: I have a compressor with a plastic motor cover. Unfortunately, this part has a crack about 30cm long in the cover. The plastic is about 5-8mm thick. Since the compressor is only 3 months old, I would like to inquire here if anyone has experience with such repairs? Perhaps gluing it, but with what? And how can I make sure it holds? Also, this cover is made of yellow plastic, so after the repair, you shouldn't be able to see much of the fix. Please give me your advice on how best to proceed and which materials to use. Thanks.

Maybe it sticks, but with what? Something that will actually hold? Also, this hood is made of yellow plastic.

To determine that, we would need to know what type of plastic it is.

If the material is PVC, it might be possible to use a solvent-based adhesive.
This is used, for example, for welding drain pipes (in the sanitary area).
