Hello,
Which pistons need to be at the top when the crankshaft is oriented horizontally, and what is the cylinder firing order?
I can't seem to find the darn locking hole anywhere...?!
The engine can only be rotated a little bit before it stalls, which means the 'OT' (Overtime) position is not correct after the camshaft replacement...
Thank you and best regards.

During the initial installation, the 1st cylinder is the furthest forward in the direction of travel, on the right side. Count as: if in the text above = vehicle in front:
4 1
5 2
6 3
Ignition Sequence: 1-4-3-6-2-5 Gruß Christian

Without the locking pin, the repair seems quite daring, isn't it?
Christian is right!

I have the locking pin! But even with a pencil and ruler, the motor can only rotate a few degrees in both directions before it gets stuck...?!
Now I will remove the cams again, then the valves will be closed, in order to check whether the crankshaft is rotating freely.
and I have to find the hole again.... |

What does "a few degrees" even mean? He shouldn't be able to turn at all anymore... (there's still some play, but only minimal). Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben! |

So, to clarify the issue: I don't know where I inserted the screw... anyway, not into the correct hole.
Now I've taken everything apart again, and lo and behold; I've found the hole, and now everything fits perfectly again.
Thank you and best regards. |
