I just have a quick question.
Does anyone know if the crankshaft of the F9Q engine (1.9 dci) can be ground down, and if so, what tolerances are possible?
The Renault dealer only finds one part number in their spare parts catalog for the bearing shells.

Actually, it's a question about the pistons, isn't it?
Google, search time: 0.11 seconds.

If you get pistons, then honing them also makes sense.
Just give them a call. The phone number is 089 886109.

'I'm referring to the crankshaft. There's bearing damage in the first cylinder, with an out-of-spec clearance of 4/100 - 5/100. The dealer only has one part number in their catalog for the bearing shells and can only order that one. If there were oversized bearings, they would have a different part number. So, the Renault dealer couldn't help me because, according to them, they always sell complete engine blocks and don't do any repairs.'

Please provide the exact data for "1810 CCM," including horsepower and year of manufacture.
I found an excess of 0.25 in one case.

Of course, the crankshaft bearings can be machined. However, you won't be able to get undersized bearings through the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) supply chain. The size reduction is always in increments of 0.25mm. The corresponding bearings are available through your engine parts supplier.
Best regards,

I visited a cylinder grinding shop today, and as you mentioned, the shaft can be ground down to a tolerance of 0.75mm undersize.
Thank you for the answers.

I found a website that lists virtually all crankshaft bearings from almost every manufacturer, with all sorts of possible dimensions. If you're looking for something specific, you're likely to find it here.

We've encountered this before. The problem with the oversized pistons was the nozzles for the piston bottom cooling. They are not available on the open market, and are only available from the Eastern European or Russian market. With a 5-week waiting time .
