Hello everyone,

The Golf IV, PQ34 model equipped with ESP, has a steering angle sensor that communicates with the ESP control unit via CAN.

This steering angle sensor needs to be connected to the wiring harness somehow.
Is there a connector or an 'open wiring harness' that is exposed when a PQ 34 vehicle is not equipped with ESP?

If so, where is this connector or this blind cable harness located?

Best regards, Jochen.

Is it integrated into the slip ring? icon_wink.gif There are probably also variations in the pin assignments. You should check the wiring diagram. }

Ah, then the CAN (Controller Area Network) must be located on the steering linkage.

That would be enough for me.

Great, thanks.
Jochen.
