Steering Angle Sensor Golf 4: Location & Installation

Hello everyone,

The Golf IV, PQ34 model equipped with ESP, has a steering angle sensor that communicates with the ESP control unit via CAN.

This steering angle sensor needs to be connected to the wiring harness somehow.
Is there a connector or an 'open wiring harness' that is exposed when a PQ 34 vehicle is not equipped with ESP?

If so, where is this connector or this blind cable harness located?

Is it integrated into the slip ring? There are probably also variations in the pin assignments. You should check the wiring diagram. }

Ah, then the CAN (Controller Area Network) must be located on the steering linkage.
