hello forum
"For a few days now, sometimes when I turn off the engine, it continues to run for a few seconds before it shuts off."
The car is a Seat Alhambra, with an AHU engine, manufactured in 1998.
Fix the issue by checking relay 109.
or is there something wrong with the ignition switch?
Best regards,
stef

Hello, the easiest thing would probably be to make the relay accessible, and then, if it doesn't turn off properly, quickly pull the relay.
Or you could try putting in a new one, just to see. I don't think it's the ignition switch. It's either completely off or completely on.
Doesn't he have a bypass valve that isn't working? Gruß, der Teileklaus

hello
Okay, I noticed today that the engine keeps running even when I'm letting off the gas!
Okay, it's related to the contactor relay. I've pulled almost all the relays, and it's still staying on.
I will take a very close look at it tonight.
Best regards,
stef

I suspect there's a short circuit in the wiring leading to the reverse lights, where voltage is being supplied (sporadically?) regardless of the gear selected.
The reverse gear then closes the switch connection to terminal 15, which then no longer requires contact from the ignition switch to carry voltage. Gruß Ulf

hello
I found this today.
There was a broken cable connected to the tailgate, all the cables were damaged, and there was a short circuit in the taillights.
Thank you for the tips.
Best regards,
stef
