Hello, I would like to build a tool to bring the front of a Passat 3B into the service position.

Can someone help me with pictures and/or drawings, and dimensions?

Thank you for your help.

Hello,

'These are simply two metal sleeves with two 8mm screws running through them. They are approximately 8cm long, and the screws are correspondingly longer, around 9.5-10cm. The sleeves have a diameter of about 2cm and serve only as guides, so that the front panel is fixed in place and cannot fall down.'

Sincerely, Dr. Braun.

Hello, and thank you for your reply.

Where else have I read about a diameter of 16mm?
I can also imagine that if the front part is hanging on a pipe that is only 80mm long, it could bend quite a bit under the leverage.

Who can provide me with more detailed information now?

Thank you.

'Yes, it's possible that the 16mm ones are strong, but unfortunately, I can't remember exactly. I've owned many Passats and A4s with parts in the service position, and I've never had anything bend or warp in those areas.'
