Hello,
Car: Polo 6n2 (AMF 1.4 TDI)
After an alarm system was installed, which required removing the steering column cover, the engine will no longer start.
The starter relay is not responding at all. After some time, the "warning" light flashes, and there is a beeping sound 3 times.
Attempts were made to start the vehicle using the plastic key (is that even possible?), as well as with a potentially faulty key (transponder). Therefore, there may be an error entry (incorrect key) or a wiring defect.
VAG-COM says:
Engine control unit:
Code: |
2 Faults Found:
17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
P1570 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18044 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from Airbag Controller
P1636 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: N/A |
These errors can be deleted, but they reappear immediately.
The WFS service also had 3 error messages, but I was able to permanently delete them.
The cable between the reading coil and the control unit seems to be okay, but new cables have been installed in that area (potential source of error). The airbag control unit indicates that all 4 airbags are functioning correctly. No other errors are present.
Thank you for any help!
Greetings, Moritz.
