Today, I thought for a while that my ABS (ABS FRONT MK60 / 6Q0 907 379 L) was defective because I couldn't get it to disengage while driving, even though I was using VAGCOM (professional system, latest version purchased from this shop) -> "Control unit does not respond."
According to the MSG, the ABS was functioning normally on the (CAN) network, and no warning light was illuminated.
Once I got home, I tried it again (while standing still, engine off), and sure enough, the ABS could be opened immediately, and the warning lights could be read, etc.
Is this normal, or am I once again experiencing a level issue with the ABS on the K-line, causing the VAGCOM interface to fail to recognize the low-high transitions?
It's probably normal that new connections to ABS control units can only be established when the vehicle is stationary. I've definitely experienced that before, on several occasions.
The motor should stop communicating (establishing a connection) again at approximately 2000 RPM. The ABS system is usually always active while driving, and measurements typically stop around 20 km/h. So are my observations .
