OBD 2 Wiring: Route Cables Inside Car

Hello everyone,

Is there anywhere to buy a 2x2 coupler to install a second diagnostic interface inside the car (e.g., in the glove compartment)? Otherwise, it will be very difficult to perform diagnostics while driving .

Where would be the best place to tap into the cables? Underneath the fuse box, or is there also a possibility near the glove compartment?

Post-edit: A "larger" OBD coupling would, of course, be even better – then the adapter from 2x2 to OBD could be eliminated.

It would be simpler to extend an existing 2x2 OBD2 adapter using a quick connector and place the 16-pin connector in the glove compartment.

Or simply get a 16-pin connector and use 3-4 wires.

I would really hate to cut up the existing adapter. Moreover, with the 2x2 connector plugged in, you can't close the fuse box anymore, and then you might end up with cold feet.
