Hello!

Volkswagen Golf III, AFN engine, 200,000 km.

I need summer tires, size 195/50 R15, with a load index of 82 and a speed rating of H. I would prefer Michelin Energy Saver tires, but it seems they are not available in that size.
Does anyone know if Michelin still plans to offer those?
What other alternatives are there regarding low rolling resistance?

Best regards, Klaus.

Hello Klaus,

GTÜ has conducted some tests on that.

Thank you, Ferdi!

That only confirms to me that the Michelin would be my favorite.
Does anyone have inside information from Michelin about whether the tire will be available in my size?

Greetings, Klaus.

Hello, in that size range, I see the (Energy) E3A and the (Pilot Exalto) PE2 for around 60.-.
I have the first type on my Touran, and I'm very happy with them, except for the stiffness (loud road noise), they offer very precise handling and are good in wet conditions/aquaplaning (still 6 mm of tread).
The optics, with their very open profile (a wide, circumferential drainage groove), aren't aesthetically pleasing, but they are effective.
As an alternative, I see the ER 300 from Bridgestone - fuel savings aren't everything.
