T5 Tire Test: Best Tires Reviewed

Bei der Beschaffung von M&S 235/55R17 für den T5 habe ich leider keine Tests/ Erfahrungen im Net gefunden. Not even summer:
The Michelin M&S tires were used in the front for one winter, with a maximum of 10,000 km driven, and performed well on slick surfaces.
Does anyone have any experience with that?

We have Goodyear Vector tires in size 215/65 R16 with the M&S marking as all-season tires on our company vans (T5 long wheelbase). With annual axle-by-axle replacement, they have lasted for 2 years and 50-65,000 km. The tread depth is still 5-6 mm on all of them. While all-season tires don't replace winter tires, they are sufficient here in the Berlin area and are probably also the best solution from a cost perspective.

So, on our company's T5 vans, we always used the standard 215 size tires in 16-inch rims for winter. The tires were Pirelli Citinet Winter – they were great in terms of grip, but after only 15,000 kilometers, half of the tread was gone.

No, if the tires are size 235 on the front, they must also be size 235 on the rear. I've now purchased two more Yokohama W Drive tires and have two in reserve, in case the Michelins wear out or aren't suitable for snowy conditions.

I also had the Pirelli Citinet in size 215/65R16C for the last two winters. They lasted well and were quiet on the road, but they are no longer easily available. There is now a successor model, but it has two solid shoulder blocks, which I felt didn't offer enough grip for winter conditions, just like the Michelin Agilis 51.

I'm curious to see what the replacements are like. Our T4 Syncro now has them on the front, but still has the older Citinets on the back.
